Take-Two Interactive and its subsidiary Rockstar Games released Red Dead Redemption 2 in 2018. The Wild West action-adventure title has now sold over 30 million copies and incited a revolution in environmental game design — but before all the success, T2 trusted The Endless Co. with producing the event experience for the launch party.

We blended principles from immersive theater, landscape architecture, large format projection, and spatial audio to transform Houston Hall into a portal to the RDR2 storyworld. Our projections mapped the walls with stunning vistas captured from gameplay.

Pine trees, fog, shrubbery, and LED fireplaces immersed visitors in the Wild West setting. Our team worked to mirror the intricate quality and unique visual identity of the game in every detail of the launch event.

The launch party ushered in a record-breaking opening weekend for Red Dead Redemption 2: its $725 million in sales earned the game the second biggest launch in the history of entertainment.
